The Original ReniGirl – Callianna

We use “ReniGirl” as a term to describe all girls learning to become self-sufficient, strong, independent and well-rounded young women. However, I would like to introduce the original ReniGirl, Callianna (or Callie, for short). Callie is the reason ReniGirl was born and if you feel you have been positively impacted by this website, then you have her to thank! Callie is my tween daughter and the reason I created ReniGirl. As Callie evolved into her tween years I realized that she and her friends would start facing challenges and issues that every young girl coming of age has before her, including myself. I wanted to be able to guide Callie and her friends into evolving into the best versions of themselves I know they were always meant to be. However, times are very different because of computers, the Internet and social media. Additionally, I wanted to help them get the best answers to some of the difficult or awkward questions that come with growing up.

Here’s a little bit more about Callie:

Callie is a junior high school student who loves to run in Tough Mudder, Rugged Terrain and Spartan races. She also dances, acts and sings in plays at Church and is actively involved in the youth group and choir there as well. Callie volunteers with rescue dogs and is currently a first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Aside of her busy schedule, she finds time to take lessons on the bass guitar! Back when Callie was in grammar school, she was a Daisy and Brownie in the local Girl Scouts program and took part in the local girls’ On The Run program.
